About Ravinder Singh — Biography
Ravinder Singh was born on 4 February 1982 in Kolkata and spent most of his formative years in Burla, a small town in western Odisha. After completing his MBA from the prestigious Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, he embarked on an eight-year career in the IT industry — starting at Infosys and eventually rising to Senior Programme Manager at Microsoft.
His life changed irrevocably when his fiancée, Khushi, passed away just days before their engagement — a loss he eventually channelled into his debut novel I Too Had a Love Story, published in 2008. The book resonated with millions of Indian readers and became an instant bestseller.
Encouraged by that response, Ravinder left his corporate career to write full-time. He has since published more than a dozen novels and anthologies, sold over 3.5 million copies, and built a loyal readership across India. Beyond his own writing, he founded Black Ink — a publishing venture focused on discovering and mentoring debut Indian authors.
